Ambient Engineering, Inc. is working with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EOEA) Office of Technical Assistance and Technology (OTA) on completing water use audits and preparing conservation recommendations to industrial and commercial facilities that discharge substantial wastewater volume to the Westerly Publicly Owned treatment Works (POTW) in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

The water use audit consists of a site visit, an introduction to the facility and operations, and identification of the sanitary and process wastewater sources.  Through discussions with site personnel and available information, quantification and wastewater disposition characteristics are determined.  Source evaluations are completed, reduction potential is realized along with what may be required from an estimated capital and operational cost effort.
